His story
Tango served the Menomonee Falls Police Department from 2020 until October 2026. As a dual-purpose patrol and narcotics detection K9, he worked more than 350 deployments, including narcotic sniffs, tracks, building searches, article finds and apprehensions in Menomonee Falls and surrounding communities.
Away from the call-outs, Tango was an ambassador for the department. Every year he took part in dozens of community presentations and outreach events.
He is now a pack member of Project K-9 Hero, the national nonprofit that helps retired police K9s with medical care.
